Ht C350 Firmware Iphone

28.01.2020

I have been waiting to see the specs on the new 3 way center before upgrading my HT speakers. Unfortunately, the C350 is too big to fit, leaving me with a choice of either the current Silver Centre or the new C150. Both will fit in my BDI cabinet. I like the 6 inch drivers better on paper. The C150 is listed as a 2 1/2 way vs.

2 way for the Silver Centre. Not sure how much of a difference that will make. The ultimate decision comes down to which center will provide the best vocal clarity and off-axis performance. Once the center decision is made, I would purchase the matching Silver 200 or Silver 6 tower. Any opinions?I don`t think the off-axis performance will change to better (C150 vs old one) cause the design is same MTM. Only way to get it sound better is to put it in vertical as was done in the review. Silver Center was better in vertical than Silver 2 as a center speaker with Silver 10 setup, Center laying at horizontal was the worst.

Check the review, it starts under the subwoofer picture. Well in my case I have a Marantz SR-7008, and I think it would have problems driving these speakers.

In fact won't almost all AVRs except the top end ones (separate pre & power combos) have problems driving them.?The Silver 6 and smaller models should be much easier to drive from what i have heard. I guess it depends how loud you are pushing those aswell and how many channel is in use.

You can always add a poweramp, right? If intrested:SR-7008 bench numbers continuosly driven (0,1% THD);2ch 8ohm 122,5w2ch 4ohm 195,4w5ch 8ohm 101w7ch 8ohm 68,8w. In fact won't almost all AVRs except the top end ones (separate pre & power combos) have problems driving them.?I seriously doubt that MA spent a good bit of money on developing new speakers that most speaker buyers wouldn't be able to drive with an AVR these days.

Wouldn't make any sense to do that. If you're using the crossover in your AVR with a sub, it's highly likely you'll be fine unless it's an atmos setup. You will probably need more power at that point, however, most still don't have an atmos setup or plan to have one.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk. Would the 2 1/2 way design of the new C150 make a difference?I hope i would be wrong for your sake about the C150. But looking how the drivers are and everything i have read 3-way would be superior. But the best thing is to demo both and move around.

I have no problem with the new Bronze center if i sit on the end of the couch. Though my couch is very small, so it depends how far L/R one would be sitting.

The usual MTM configuration isn`t optimal as you can see from the picture. I guess you have ruled out some center speaker stand in front of av/tv cabinet too? C350 shooting upward from a low stand. Make it happen somehow! It is possible that, going from a 2way to a 2.5way, can make a positive difference since the interference is a function of the distance between the drivers at frequencies that are common to them.

Of course, the 3way is better. Thanks MrHiFi and Kal Rubinson for your input. No doubt the 3 way is better, but I cannot make the C350 work, as much as I would like to. It comes down to Silver Centre or C150, plus matching floor speakers, or just keep my current Klipsch RP setup. My Klipsch RP 250C center is ok, but it has poor off-axis and can be a little shrill. I have to believe either MA center would produce better on-axis depth and vocal clarity. Off-axis vs the Klipsch??

Bottom line, if I decide to make the move to one of the MA systems, I need to make sure it is an upgrade to my current setup. Lucky for me, I have time on my side and a lot of expert resources on this forum to pull from.

I'm looking forward to the new Silver line. I was very close to purchasing the silver 8's and silver center but decided to wait.My biggest concern was the silver center not living up to the capabilities of the 8's or 10's after reading owners impressions. Like some of you I won't be able to accommodate the new 3 way center. I recently contacted MA and expressed my concerns. Hopefully I didn't misinterpret the response but I believe the rep stated the smaller drivers of the new Silver C150 will match better in the mid-range with the new series than the current center does with the 8's or 10s.I'm hopeful they made some positive changes as I'm sure they have received a lot of feedback.

Now it's hurry up and waitZ. One thing I noticed though is that a lot of the models have a minimal impedance of close to 3 Ohm.

Won't that be problematic, if used with many typical A/V Receivers (that often aren't so powerful, and can't provide sufficient current)I've owned a few set's of Monitor Audio speakers, Gold GS-Series (circa 2006) & Gold GX-Series (circa-2011), and I've found they love big-power. I'm using Parasound A51 (250W @8ohm/400W@X 5). I used two different Denon receivers (95W @8ohm & 110W @8ohm), prior to the Parasound, and they did'nt cut it. I hope i would be wrong for your sake about the C150. But looking how the drivers are and everything i have read 3-way would be superior. But the best thing is to demo both and move around. If the 2 drivers are closer than 1/4 wavelength than the frequency in question then they will (in general) couple as 1 driver. If more than 1/4 wavelength apart then you will get different amounts of cancellation depending on Frequency. A lower frequency has a larger wavelength so the 2 displaced drivers can be farther apart before there is a problem. Also note that in the case of my RS Silver LCR's the driver on the Left (if I remember right) doesn't go as high in frequency as the one as the right one. This will reduce the possible interference. It has a quasi 3 way alignment. Standing a speaker up or laying it down won't chance these interference issues.

The interference is a function of distance the drivers are apart and the frequency the drivers are reproducing in question. Of course there is the 'Room' and possibly a stand the speaker is on to give reflections as well but that is the case regardless of speaker type / alignment.Doug. Standing a speaker up or laying it down won't chance these interference issues. The interference is a function of distance the drivers are apart and the frequency the drivers are reproducing in question.Again, agreed. However, this is less of a problem for a vertical position since the interference will be most significant in the vertical plane and ameliorated by tilting the speaker to aim it to ear level at the MLP.

When horizontal, there is no way to compensate for lateral head movement or sitting off center. When I measured it in the customary horizontal configuration, there was a dip of approximately 7 dB at just over 2 kHz—the woofers-to-tweeter crossover region—as I moved from the center to roughly 20 degrees to the side. It was also clearly audible.

The solution: I turned the Silver Centre so it sat vertically on my center stand. This required that I raise my projection screen by about a foot (higher than I like) but produced a much more uniform sonic balance across the front from left to right. Another option I tried briefly was using one of the two-way Silver 2s, positioned upright, as a center. This worked better than the horizontal Silver Centre but not quite as well as the latter turned vertical. In either arrangement, I reduced the Integra’s center-channel bass control by a few steps; my low stand often results in slightly bloated male dialogue on many center speakers, including but not limited to the Silver. With the vertical Silver Centre and the larger Hsu subwoofer, the Silver system came alive on movies. I've still to demo both but i'm pretty sure i'll be going with the smaller C150, it's probably a better match for both the Gold 50's and my small room, in which the C350 would be overkill.

Interesting you've had both, what did you think of the two centres? Was the C350 noticeably superior? Don't change my mind again lolYeah, I've gone through multiple phases of setups. In the family room, I've had the GX50s, and had bought the C150 to go with them, but the speaker was just too deep to fit on my mantle. There was no way to properly set it up, so for the last year, I have been using the GX50s as a phantom center channel.

Currently in the process of selling the GX50 and C150 and switching my family room setup to Martin Logan 35XTs and a Motion 8 center since this will work with my fireplace setup.Since I'm still in love with the Gold series though, I decided to start to convert my basement setup to the Gold series with towers and the bigger center. The C350 is the only piece I have so far. I have the Energy Veritas 6.3 full setup in my basement, and have compared all the center channels. The C150 was great and blends it greatly with the G50s.

I hooked up the C350, and it actually dominated the Energy full range towers. Granted, I didn't calibrate it, but it was clearly flexing over the rest of my setup and yes, it sounded awesome. It is such a massive speakers though. I imagine it would have the same dominance when paired with the G50s.

The new silvers look pretty good to me with a couple exceptions.I hate the teardrop around the mid/tweeter assembly and the tweeter grill looks messy and unfinished. Don't know if they were trying to copy paradigm's prestige look but it's a fail. Still think my RX8s look better than the last two series, but they're not bad overall, still wanna hear them.

Really nice they finally added a 3 way center too. They all look the same with the grilles on, in the dark. I want to hear them, not see them. Monitor kept identical price points for the replacement Silver-series products, while also adding a Satin White finish to the option sheet. This numbers seven SKUs, including the: Silver 50 bookshelf ($875/ pr.), Silver 100 bookshelf ($1150/ pr.), Silver 200 floorstander ($1500/ pr.), Silver 300 floorstander ($2000/ pr.), and Silver 500 floorstander ($2500/ pr.).

There are also two center channels - the two-and-a-half-way C150 ($725), and three-way C350 ($999), as well as the FX surround speaker ($875/ pr.) and W-12 subwoofer ($1649). All models will be shipping in July.I've had my gen2 MAs(Silver s10 and Silver LCR) since 2005 and back then the S10 was about $2000 a pair and top of the silver line. MA has kept the top of the silver line at about $2500 for a long time so I'm happy to see the silver 500 at that price.I see a pair of silver 500 and an C350 in my future. Besides it's been 12 years since my last MAs and it's time to upgrade.

I am a huge anime fan, and many of the series that I follow have not been released in the United States yet, so if I order them on DVD from Japan, I would not have been able to play them on my DVD player because of the Region Zone. That is, until recently. For those that may not know, DVDs are hard coded for world use through zones. The current codes are as follows:. Region 1 - US and Canada. Region 2 - Japan, Europe, South Africa, Middle East, and Greenland.

Region 3 - S. Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Parts of Southeast Asia. Region 4 - Australia, New Zealand, and Latin America (including Mexico). Region 5 - Eastern Europe, Russia, India, and Africa. Region 6 - China.

Region 7 - Reserved for Special Use. Region 8 - Cruise Ships, Airlines, etc. Region 9, 0, or All - Uncoded for Worldwide useThere are many reasons why this encoding is in place - licensing issues, censorship, but mainly money. Studios release movies at different times across the globe, and if it is available on DVD in the United States before it is released in France, they could potentially lose out on box office receipts if the consumer could purchase the DVD.Consumers are often told if they have a Region 1 player, it will not play Region 2 disks. That is not truly the case. Most DVD players can be unlocked using a simple code from the remote. In order to unlock your DVD player, you need two things: your DVD player model number and the hack found at.

This site is a search engine that lists thousands of hack codes to unlock your DVD player. The latest player that I unlocked was a CyberHome CH-DVD 300 that I got from WalMart for $29.99. The process was simple and painless.

Here are the steps I had to take to set it to uncoded or worldwide use:. Power On. Open Tray. Press Menu, 1, 9. Change Zone to 0 (third line from the bottom).

Press Enter. Press Open/Close (Eject)Voila! One uncoded DVD player capable of playing DVDs from anywhere in the world. One word of warning: Using any hacks on your player can void your warranty, so try this at your own risk. I purchased a Mistral Select dvd player ($20 TOTAL!) on eBay, and it's a fabulous machine. It's region-free out of the box, and it has one unique and very appealing feature: it bypasses the FBI warning, the trailers and all the other annoyances and goes straight to the opening credits. Of course, if you want to view those things, you can press the MENU button to see them.

NOTE: when you first hook it up, it might be rolling and in black & white on your monitor. Remedy: push NB on the remote several times to normalize the picture. Then press SETUP on the remote control, find LAST MEMORY and turn it off. Now you're open for business! You'll love the player. One more nice feature on the machine: there are control buttons on the front of the player.

Unlike many dvd players that can only be controlled via the remote control, if your dog eats the remote, you can still play dvds or cds. Hi Justice, try this:1.With the DVD player turned on, press the 'Setup' button on your remote control, to enter the system menu.2.Press the right arrow button on your remote control until you have the 'Password Setup Page' displayed.3.Then press '8888' using your remote control. This will subsequently display a 'Region Code' screen.4.Using the up and down arrows on your remote control you can specify the region you require. To enable multi-regional play we recommend setting the unit to: Region Code 0.5.Press the 'Enter' button on your remote control to confirm.

The comment(s) above has instructions which I thought will make the region-3 player become region-free. But it only changed the player to get locked to region-1. I found out when I tried region-1, region-3 and region-6 discs. Only region-1 played.

Once I returned the numbers menu to the original default setting, only region-3 played.I had received an anonymous comment in my blog with alternate instructions. I tried the alternate instructions (after returning the numbers menu to the original default), and found that my DVD player Samsung DVD-C350 is now region-free. I could play all the three discs of different regions without any 'Wrong region' message.Click my name in this comment (not previous comments) to go to my blog post where I have posted the alternate instructions. The original comment by the anonymous person is also available.

Thanks a zillion to Anonymous! The above instructions could also work for DVD-C350K, DVDC360, DVD-C450 and DVD-C450K since they're in same series. Press Power button on player (not remote) to turn on player. Wait for No Disc message on TV screen. (The following buttons are on the remote.) Press Repeat (plain, not A-B). Press Fast Rewind (two arrows to left, no line). Press Next Chapter (two arrows to right with line).

Press Fast Forward. Press Previous Chapter. Press Play. You will get a menu full of numbers. I don't know what any of the numbers mean but taking clues from instructions available for H1080 DVD players, I highlighted all numbers from 1 to 9. Use arrow buttons and Enter button to highlight or unhighlight numbers. NOTE: I recommend you backup the original highlights in the numbers menu by noting it down on the back of the player's manual or some place safe. You may want to revert to the original settings when you want to send the device for warranty or if something goes wrong.Press Play button (on remote) to save the new highlights.

The player will turn off. Wait 5 seconds then press Power button on player (not remote). You will get a Language menu. Select English (or any language) and you can pop in a Region 1 disc immediately. This worked for my region 1 disc and my C350 DVD player played it like a piece of cake!
