It looks as if the venerable AJA Kona 3 card may be EOL (see the support page). So?That means all of us running them will have to look for new monitoring cards when MC 7 comes out I would assume (love to be wrong).
Aja Kona 4 Driver
This will dump even more fuel on the ongoing Open IO fire. As the AJA cards have been the most robust cards to date, if users are forced to replace them once MC 7 arrives, they will most likely revisit all the candidates. And in the world of file only all the time, a low cost monitor only card will once again be of interest. AJA has such a card - but Thunderbolt only. The other low cost cards offer 'less than optimal' performance.Yes, things will change between now and then.
